Associate Solicitor

Catherine recently joined the team as an Associate Solicitor returning to South Wales from a leading legal business in Bristol where she was a Principal Associate in the Employment department, with overall responsibility for around 34 staff members.

As an expert Employment Solicitor, specialising in employment disputes, Catherine has more than 12 years’ of experience in giving legal support to business and private clients and considerable experience of contentious employment law and employment tribunal proceedings. Catherine qualified as a Solicitor in 2009.

Catherine has dealt with cases at the Employment Appeal Tribunal and has extensive experience in legal team management and management at an operational level, supervision , internal auditing of legal work and regulatory compliance. Catherine has an ILM in Leadership and Management.

Catherine hit the ground running when she joined JCP in March at a busy time for employment lawyers dealing with the effects of the global pandemic on business and individuals in employment.

Catherine has delivered a number of webinars since March 2020 on furlough, redundancies and restructures and settlement negotiations and written a number of blogs to ensure clients have been kept up to date with the fast paced changes introduced in response to the pandemic.
